Ste. Geneviève Press is a family business founded in 2017. Located in Illinois, we are an independent publisher of Religious Books; topics of interest include academic books and reference works in theology, biblical studies, and religious history to popular titles in spirituality, social and cultural criticism, and literature. History Books; topics of interest include the early history of United States, particularly from the French Colonial era through the Civil War era; urban studies, especially those of Chicago and St. Louis; and local studies in northern and central Illinois. Finally, Native American Books; topics of interest are books that seek to enhance the awareness of Native American beliefs and life-ways, inform the general public about the history and significance of Native cultures, and works of professional scholarship that successfully detail the perspectives and culture of Native American history mainly from the Pre-Columbian era through the Indian New Deal. Our first book, The Essence of Perfection, released on September 10, 2017, is in its first printing.
